A teddy bear throwing a Molotov cocktail at a riot squad? Insane for some, but perfectly in-line with Banksy's interesting' style of graffiti. While it seems like a jokey cartoon, the mural does actually have a story at the time, there were many free' parties being set up spontaneously in and around Bristol in derelict warehouses and offices. The police had begun to crack down on these illegal parties and were reverting to using force as a means of breaking them up. In this picture, Banksy depicts the partygoers as a rather docile-looking teddy bear fighting back against the far superior police force.
